Celebrate Earth Month in Carlsbad – April 2017
April is Earth Month and there are a number of ways to celebrate Earth Month in Carlsbad. Here’s a list of events to participate in to help everyone reuse, reduce, recycle and more.
April 1 - Donate, Don’t Waste Bulky Item Drop-off (9 am to 1 pm) at 5815 El Camino Real.
April 8 – Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event (9 am to 3 pm) at 5815 El Camino Real. Register in advance with proof of residency in Carlsbad (driver’s license or utility bill). I’m going – you??
April 15 - TAX DAY Document Shredding Event (9 am to 1 pm); while we think of April 15th as tax day, in 2017 your taxes are due Tuesday April 18th!! Located at 5815 El Camino Real. Register in advance.
April 22 – Composting and Gardening Workshop (10 am to 12 noon) at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Discovery Center. Must register in advance at the City of Carlsbad composting page.
April 22 – Creek to Bay Cleanup (9 am to 12 noon), at Tamarack State Beach. Register in advance.
April 29 – Arbor Day (8:30 am to 12:30 pm). Plant a few trees and help Carlsbad remain a Tree City USA. Location TBD.
April 29 – Walk + Bike Carlsbad Community Bike Ride. Go on a community bike ride and learn about bike safety and bike routes. You can read more about the Carlsbad Walk + Bike Campaign here. TBD.
