Two Approvals!

I received two Short Sale approvals- one today and one yesterday- from Countrywide and ASC/Wells Fargo. It's going to be a good weekend!

1. ASC/Wells Fargo: Package was submitted on February 22. It took ten weeks, about 2.5 months for approval. The offer was countered early on.

2. Countrywide: Submitted on March 2, only five weeks ago. No counter and no contact with the negotiator. Approved in little over a month.

What a quick approval from Countrywide. I had a similiar experience with Option One.

Mike, I, too, was surprised at Countrywide's speed on that one. I have another in with them- almost three months, no response or request... Wendy

Has anyone else run into troubl getting your file shuffled around at Wells while they transfer their LossMitigation work to the Liquidation Dept?

Nick- I've had good luck with Wells.

Wendy, that's good to hear that you had success with Wells Fargo. I have two thaat I'm working on currently and I'm hoping for success too! Congratulations!

Wendy, congratulations on the approvals! We've had a lot of luck with short sales but Countrywide has not been the best in our experience. They recently took 3 months to respond to an offer- after weekly follow ups and nothing short of harrassment from us. I guess each case is different.

Hi Brandon- On average, I expect a 90-110 day wait for Countrywide response. Calling every week and asking for the negotiator and/or making sure the process is being logged correctly in their system increases your odds of success. I have been told or promised one thing by a rep, then get contradictory info the next time I call. Stay on them. Thank you for commenting and the compliment! Wendy
