Have you ever wondered how others perceive or judge you as a professional and as person by looking at your profile pictures online?
Just last week, a couple called me to introduce themselves as first-time home buyers and was looking for a Realtor® who could assist them in finding their home.
My reaction deep inside was they did an excellent job locating me. I am the best person to service their needs no matter what other professionals would say.
That unvocalized reaction resonated when I responded to them. "I am glad that you called me because helping first-time home buyers is my specialty." I thought for a while that it didn't come out right as I would like to respond in the manner that sounds more like a service pitch rather than a sales pitch.
Anyway, out of curiosity, I would like to find out to what do I owe the source of this business.
We scheduled a buyer consultation two days after our initial contact. It was during our first meeting that I was able to prod deeper into learning how they found me.
I am very interested in knowing the source and cause as I seldom get good leads from online presence. My business is built on word-of-mouth,
Before I concluded our buyer consultation, I was able to insert my inquisition. It was the wife who answered as she was the one who did the search and obviously, was the one who made the choice.
She said that she googled first-time home buyers in Manchester CT and I was one of the names that cropped up on the first page.
I was one of the names. That meant there were others on the first page. When I asked her if she clicked on the other names. She said she did but she didn't like what she saw.
We all burst into laughter after that remark. In the midst of that friendly jest, she continued by saying that your face looks friendly. I feel that with you, we will be in good hands. You have a warm personality from what I SEE!
I smiled at them and said, "Well, I am glad you were able to find me. You are in good hands, I assure you that."
That moment after saying goodbye to each other, we all know that we will be working together to make their dreams come true.
When I went back to my office, I did my own search and looked at my profile pictures. I tried to view them as if I were a different person than the one owning that face.
I may not able to see them in different perspectives as others would. But the good news is that my profile picture proves that it has a Face Value!
But please don't rush and schedule your next photo shoot. The picture alone would not generate the face value.
A profile picture's face value is boosted by experience, knowledge and compassion. Without knowledge and experience, one will lack confidence. And compassion guarantees longevity and satisfaction in this business.
All these components ring up the most Face Value for your Profile Pic!
And not to forget, increased online presence is the key.
