Don't Let A Doggone Day Go By Without Fun In Your Life

Dog DrinkWith all the stress that can be involved in real estate transactions by buyers, sellers, and agents, I am committed to stamping out frowny faces. How do you do that?

REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN "EACH" DAY NO MATTER WHAT.

Take dogs for example. Do you think they know how to chill?

You betcha. We could learn a lot from their antics. They have this easy living thing down pat.

Dog Sunglasses

Why, dogs are so happy to see you each day they don't even care that you had a bad day. Just make sure they get a pat on the head and their nightly meal and they are good to go.

Dog Glasses

Even if you are the studious, hard working type, a dog will NOT let you forget that life is not all about work.

Who cannot be licked in the face by a puppy and not start laughing??

So if you get tired, worn out, frustrated, or forgot how to have fun in your life, check in with your four legged psychotherapist for an attitude adjustment. You'll be glad you did.

And as the childrens' game says

                       SIMON SAYS

                                       told me to do it.

Gary,  My dog does something funny or amazing every day to make me laugh.  She always relieves my stress.  Great "Simon Says" video!

Funny you should write a post like this.  I said to my 18 year old a couple of days ago, "Don't you wish everyone was as happy as Gus?  He is always smiling!"

A cuudle or walk with my (120 pound) pooch always makes me happy.  (THer is a photo of him on my home page, with a link to the Rescue organization from which he came.  check it out!)

Carol: Gus, another beauty to add to the collection  : ) Now everyone is going to have to start adding pictures of their "babies."

Kathleen: I think the trick is to surround ourselves with the animal kingdom. You are quite covered.

You have to love a dog that loves you!  We have a Boston Terrier that thinks she is a person.

Carol: Dogs are people aren't they? I have long conversations with them and everyone  says no, they just have this limited 25 word vocabulary. Well it works for me! : )

Gary, I can't imagine my life without the companionship of dogs... I had them all my life and they all had long, happy, healthy lives. My best friend for the past 9 years is a mix Akita / Chow ... she keeps me going!

I don't think there is anything as therapeutic as playing with a puppy.  The world could save billions by just spending an hour or two a week with some furry four legged friends.

Gary - I have decided that I want to BE my dogs.....not a care in the world, loads of love, they get fed, walked, pet, and the lost goes on.....Here is one for ya....He doesn't do much, doesn't pay rent, doesn't buy dog food, doesn't vacuum, doesn't even get the paper at the end of the drive - but, ya gotta love him!  He loves me!  And, so does my shepard/husky!  We could learn quite a bit from our 4 legged companions!

Gary--Love your effort to rid the world of frowny faces! Cute pics!!

Gary, I LOVE your photos.  I am an animal lover and my dogs can always cheer me up, even after a difficult day.  I know people bring them to the elderly to relieve stress as well.  I too hope all the mothers get a good laugh tomorrow and every day.

Gary - I love the pictures and you are so right. We should have fun each day - because that is certainly time we cannot get back! The dogs are so cute - are any of them yours?

Gary, you always write such clever posts. Having fun is BIG in our household - just as is laughter. ;-)

Arina: I remember your story about her. One of your babies. Love them while they are with you, as they certainly return so much love to us.

Jesse: Maybe we should open a chain of psychotherapy clinics involving our furry friends? You may be on to something here.

Leesa: I'm on board with that idea. How do I sign up to be a dog? Great photo. I see who gets the couch at your house : )

Teri: Thou shalt not have a frowny face. I hope yours is beaming today. If not, consult your local dog.

Marc: Smart dog in that video, you're right. Must have higher IQs then little kids. Or better attention spans or listening skills.

Carole: Happy Mothers Day to you Carole. I know of the visits of dogs and rabbits to nursing homes and it definitely brightens things up.

Sharon: Excellent point about not getting time back. That is why we need to make the most of it each day. No these dogs weren't mine.

Teri: From what you've written to me before I know you have a fun household with you and your husband. I can just tell from your words. Pass those good feelings on to others.
