It’s Time For the Delray Affair...April 7-9, 2017!

 

This year marks the 55th year of the Delray Affair- the “largest arts & crafts festival in the Southwest United States.”

 

The Delray Affair

April 7-9, 2017

Friday & Saturday-10 to 6 PM

Sunday-10 to 5 PM

Atlantic Avenue from the Intracoastal

West to NW 2nd Avenue

Admission: FREE

You won’t want to miss this event!  The Delray Affair stretches for twelve blocks along Atlantic Avenue, in Old School Square, and in the Pineapple Grove area. There are about 600 vendors offering crafts for the home and gifts, jewelry, textiles, wood crafts, paper goods, wearables, and so much more.

 

What to expect?

A Family Fun Zone including a Dunk Tank, Face Painting, Balloon Art, and more!

Pop-up Live Entertainment from 6 to 9 pm throughout the downtown area.

Food Vendors located throughout the area.

And, the vendors may close at 6 but don’t forget Delray Affair After Dark!

This is a wonderful time to discover some of the restaurants that are new to our area or dine at one of your favorites.  

 

Helpful Tips…

*Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes

*Plan to  spend some extra time visiting the local shops and restaurants in the area

*Besides the downtown garages and lots, you can take the Downtown Roundabout (Trolley) that picks up at the Delray Beach Tri-Rail station

It sounds like so much fun, i wish i was heading to Florida today. I was going to take 10 days and run away, but could only manage 4, so i am heading to Ft Lauderdale next weekend for Tortuga Fest. With snow today, i cant get out of here fast enough Kathy Streib

Kathy those little buses are just adorable! I looked and looked but can't make out if they've just painted something or actually created these. Are they weatherproof? Maybe a sunny location in your garden?

Hi James Dray it's a very big event!!! I've gone every year since we moved to Fl and only have missed it when we weren't living here. 

Michael Jacobs I love the people watching too.  Plus, I'm a sucker for buying a hot dog from the local Boy Scouts or Kiwanis Club booth.  Over the years, I've used a great deal of restraint in buying things I will end up donating.

Kathy-I bet this would be fun but after seeing Atlantic Ave when I visited I can only imagine what a zoo it would be and where to park would be a challenge.  It would still be fun to go.
