It’s time for the New Haven Area Easter Egg Hunts. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around too making an appearance at a number of Easter Egg Hunt festivities scheduled in the New Haven area  for 2017. 

Children have so much fun participating in these Easter Egg Hunts filling their baskets collecting colored Easter eggs and candy.

Other activities that may be included for the children, their older siblings and parents are music, entertainment, games and food. Prizes are often awarded too to the winners in each age group of the children.

Do you know the history behind the meaning of the egg hunt on Easter? According to Wikipedia "The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in pre-Christian celebrations of spring. However, the Easter egg itself was defined by early Christians as an Easter symbol of the resurrection of Jesus: the egg symbol was likened to the tomb from which Christ arose."

Branford Easter Egg Hunt

East Haven - Shore Line Trolley Museum

Date and Time:  April 8, 9, 14, & 15, 2017 -10:30 am-4:30 pm

Admission:  General Admission: $10.00, Under Age 2: Free

New Haven – New Haven Party with the Easter Bunny

North Branford Easter Egg Hunt

Wallingford Easter Egg Hunt

Date and Time:  Thursday April 7, 2017 - 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Where:  David Doherty Municipal Building, 6 Fairfield Blvd. 

Admission: FREE

Information:  For ages 1-11....The first 500 children will receive pre-bagged candy.
