The Race City Festival
˜A Celebration of Mooresville Arts & Culture
If you want to experience the essence of small town life in North Carolina, there is nothing more fun for the whole family than a festival!
Formerly known as The Lake Norman Festival, Mooresville's The Race City Festival is held in Historic Downtown Mooresville every May during NASCAR'S Race Week when hundreds of thousands of people converge on our racing communties for the two weekends of racing at our Lowes Motor Speedway.
Like so many festivals, there will be blocks of tents and booths featuring our local merchants, arts, crafts and culture of our community, church groups, civic and non-profit organizations, music, entertainment, an International Food Court, wineries and a special childrens area.
It is such a great opportunity to learn more about our Mooresville and Lake Norman community, support local businesses and non-profits, and simply have fun seeing old friends and making new ones. Dont hesitate to stop at the booths and stike up conversations. We love to share about our causes, the weather, gas prices or anything else that is on our minds. In the past I have worked for the Mooresville Artist Guild and the Mooresville Museum but this year I'll be spreading my time between my Exchange Club, my RE/MAX at the Lake booth, and wherever else I am needed so please stop me and say hi!
