I've been seeing this scene on my way to work all week so I thought I better take the shot before it's just a memory.

What you see here is the demolition of the North Broadway bridge, a two year project. They just started the removal of the North bound lanes. The bridge spans the Mouse River and several rail road tracks. I assume the boat is kept handy in case a worker should accidentally fall into the river during construction.

Jeff Dowler I see the flags on top of the cranes are Canadian so maybe that's the way they do it up there.

Thank you Lauren Williams . I wasn't sure if there would be enough light to shoot it being it was taken at 7:00 AM but I'm pleased with the results.

I think it's for theft prevention Kasey & John Boles and the team at Jon Gosche Real Estate, LLC as it's not the best part of town so instead of locking it up at night they just lift it up.

It does Grant Schneider . When I first saw it I thought "what the heck". I'm guessing that it's there for rescue or for inspection purposes.

By daylight there is a wrecking ball on the crane Joe Pryor  so I assume the boats in the water during working hours.
