Snorkeling at Kaanapali Beach in Lahaina Hawaii

Of course you need to explore both mountain and oceanic vistas in Maui. My fiancee and I got up close and personal with some local marine life with snorkeling. We even were graced with the presence of a few sea turtles. It was pretty awesome! There are various places to go and we happen to choose an excellent location near the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. You can rent the gear right off the beach or bring your own.

Here are some photos of our exploration:

If it involves being by water or getting in the water, count me in. Looks great!

Hi Laura,
I have very fond memories of our youngest learning about the ocean at Kaanapali.  He was 3 and would run from the waves, then sat down on the sand as the tide came in.  Soon the waves were lapping at him and he just giggled, then started playing in the water as it swamped him.  Great memories.
