Care to guess what this is used for?

This was a gift from my mother years ago.  I use it as art and keep it on a bookcase, but it has a real purpose. Any guesses?

My guess is that this is a mold for Easter candy. I would prefer dark chocolate.

I know it isn't right but Easter cornpone sounds good to me. Chocolate bunnies will be acceptable.

Good going Joe Pryor ! And, this little device produces  bunnies that are NOT hollow inside (emotionally or physically).

Hope you have a great Easter weekend may dozens of chocolate bunnies find  their way to your home.

I would say that it is a candy mold. I have never seen one and would guess it is pretty rare.
