Your soul is at peace but on this Mother's Day, I celebrate your life. I celebrate that you did such a remarkable job of mentoring me to be the kind of person that you could be proud of. Through our many conversations, I was always taken with how much you cared and the guiding principles that you and Dad would inspire in me. One day we will all be together again and but I know now that your watchful eye and spirit enliven in me your spirit and your never ending and unconditional love. To you Mom, I bring forth this tribute that others will know of you through me. Not just through conversation but through the way I honor you with living my life in the spirit and the loving ways you instilled in me.
Happy Mothers Day, Mom.
I will Love and Honor you Always.
Your Loving Son,
William
I dedicate this beautiful song " You Raise Me Up" from Josh Groban , to you Mom. It so clearly says the words that I always wanted to say to you.
Hello Heath, Thank you for sharing that. As the tears flow, know that they can be happy tears that you have the wonderful memories to comfort your and guide you through your life.
Hi Joan, Thanks for dropping by. It just seemed fitting to add that on this Mothers Day. Maybe other will as well. Happy Mothers Day Joan. Wishing you a Beautiful and Wonderful Day!
Hi Kay, Not a wimp at all. Our Mom's and Dad are the essence of us and there is no separating that. Missing her and enjoying the wonderful memories is also who you are. It is wonderful that you do still miss her. She will always be a part of who you are and she is reflected in you. If you think that is being a wimp, please stay one, OK.
Hi Duane, Thanks, I was not sure if it was OK to post there but it did seem fitting. Appreciate you dropping by and thank you again for your wonderful message.
Knowing the person you are you must have had an amazing Mother.
Mine has been gone for 2 1/2 years, she was my rock, the foundation for almost everything in my life. Most importantly, I still feel her with me every day.
Hi Lynda, Thank you for your wonderful sentiments and know that it is deeply appreciated. You are an amazing and wonderful person as well and one I am very proud to call " Friend".
William - I should of known you would put forth such a beautiful tribute. Like Lynda said, your Mother must have been amazing because the William Johnson I know is an amazing man himself.
What a wonderful tribute. I hope you can feel her presence around you tomorrow, know that she is there in spirit! Isn't it wonderful that you WILL be with her again! Reading the book "90 minutes in heaven" really helped me with the loss of my father. I know I will be with him again and feel great comfort that he will be waiting for me.
William, that was quite beautiful and a lovely tribute to your Mother. I enjoy Josh Groban and find, "You Raise Me Up" very inspirational. Thank you for sharing your heart and Josh's song.
Hi Lynda, Thank you so much for that. What an awesome thing to say. You are such a DearHeart! I am sure your Mom is and always will be a very present part of your life. We are most fortunate, aren't we?
Hello April, Thanks you so much for dropping by and sharing your insight and the book. I think of life on earth and the passing on as a continuum. It gives us all great comfort of knowing that there are probably a number of chapters in our eternal life. Though I love this phase of my life, I do not fear the next chapter.
Hi Gena, Thanks you always for your wonderful and enjoyable friendship. As we have gotten to know each other more and more, there is so much more to share. Your sweet comments here are so appreciated and thank you so much for being there.
Hello Jason, At first I didn't notice that you had changed the registry. You name didn't show. Thank You Jason, what kind and wonderful sentiments you have expressed and I am very grateful that you expressed them the way you do. You are a friend and one day we shall meet in person. I love what you bring to ActiveRain and your support for me since the beginning here. Your posts are getting even better if that would even be possible. Many Thanks again for your friendship Jason.
Hi William - beautiful and a perfect song to go with your tribute to your mom. My mom's been gone 3 years last month, and some days are better than others. I miss her terribly every day, and wish I could just hug her and give her a hug bundle of daisies, her favorite flowers.
Your mom is looking down on you with great love..... Ann
Awww...I am sorry. It's funny that some people don't realize the value of their mothers until they don't have them. When you know what you have, life is so much sweeter.
Oh William, that is very beautiful and the song is perfect. I miss my mom too, she passed on 3 years ago and even though I have 5 children of my own, I can't help but miss here more on this day.
