A plumber is instructed to replace a shower valve.
They go to the vacant property to replace the shower valve.
They get the key from the vendor combo lockbox on the house.
In order to do the repair they turn the water off to the house at the main valve.
They complete the repair.
This was Friday of last week.
They send in their invoice stating work is complete.
Another vendor goes to the house yesterday.
They find and report that the water is still off at the main valve!!
The plumber's response when asked why.....
"the water was closed for liability and security purposes"
Oh I see - you WANTED the liability for leaving the water turned off to the:
Drip feed system for the landscaping
Automatic Water Levelling System for the pool
Brand New Water Heater
and you were so concerned about "liability" that you failed to mention this to anybody until asked!!
Didn't you think that leaving the water turned off would send a message that you have no confidence in the repair you completed at the property?
You Just Can't Make Some Of This Stuff Up!!!
