I'm going to hone in on a few specific lakes in White Lake here, and I hope you find this helpful. The first lake I will begin with is....
Oxbow Lake in White Lake MI. Oxbow Lake is a beautiful lake. Large in size and depth at about 270 acres and 72 feet down, you'll be able to ski, wake-board, tube and much more during the summer months! The kids attend Huron Valley schools, and just on the south end of the lake across the street is the local elementary school; Oxbow Elementary. Not only can you get exercise and fresh air on the water in the summer, but also walking your kids to and from school during the year!
Cedar Island Lake in white Lake Mi, is also a large lake. This lake is about 169 acres surface area, and 72 feet deep, at its deepest point! While there is no public beach, there is however, public access. The children attend Walled Lake and Huron Valley Schools. So depending on your child's current school, you might not have to transfer them. The homes here run on well and septic systems, and are considered a mix bag. This means there are a variety of home styles, and ages. Some are small older cottages, while other are beautiful newly constructed homes. The average size home on this lake, ranges from 2000-2500 SQFT. I'm sure we can find you something that fits not only your budget but also you personal appeal and style.
Saving the largest of the three for last...
Pontiac Lake in white Lake Twp Mi, sits at about 612 acres. While this is one of the larger lakes in this area, its depth is only about 34 feet deep. Keep in mind, that is still a great depth for a lake. Especially for all you walleye fishermen. Along with Walleye, this lake also has: northern pike, large-mouth bass, crappie, perch, catfish, and rock bass. Not only is this lake a great all-sports action packed lake, but its great for early morning and evening fishing. Perfect for bonding with the kiddos, or friends. Speaking of the children, they would attend Waterford Schools. This lake is definitely an action packed lake during the summer, and equally so in the winter. If you're looking for an action packed lake this just might be the one for you!
