~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~

"Your apathy is the problem, not Facebook". That was what I was thinking earlier this week in a private FB group where numerous real estate pros started bashing Facebook (not sure why they stay on FB to be honest). Complaints ranged from: it is a time waster, no one gets biz from it, it is not secure enough, real clients do not use FB, too many stalkers, and even it is too hard to figure out. All valid points to some degree but only because we let it be that way. Let's stop being victims and instead become victors! Whatever it takes...figure it out. 

Did you know...According to Hootsuite, FB is the most used social media site in the U.S. (regardless of age)...used by 64% of Americans! I wonder what the other 36% are up to? 

With spring in full effect in many parts of the country, perhaps it is time to refresh your cover photo with a seasonal theme. Better yet, hold a contest (great way to generate interest in your page) and let your local readers choose the new photo. If you make a change, send me the link...I would love to come visit your page. ;-)

Anita Clark - I have seen Facebook is by far the best marketing platform. I remember the days when I'd spend about $100 every week to publish a 4-5 line ad in the newspaper with virtually no response! (Fortunately, I did it only in my first year of Real Estate career).

Whatever people say, Facebook is going to be #1 marketing platform for one of the best ROI.

OK, I think you just answered a question for me. I was wondering how the demographics of FB effect our backlinks, sponsored pages, articles, etc... In other words if the 34 year olds (first time home buyers) have left FB are we wasting our time? Should be focusing our FB marketing to a specific market?
