The Grocery Game

This post has absolutely NOTHING to do with real estate!

grocery gameI've read a few posts today about how expensive food, gas, etc. has become and thought I would share something I use.

I've been using a site called The Grocery Game for about 1 1/2 years now.  Is it work?  YES!  Does it save me a lot of money?  YES!

What is the Grocery Game?  When you play, you'll get a weekly list (called Teri's List) of the lowest-priced products at your supermarket matched with manufacturers' coupons and weekly specials -- advertised and unadvertised. The Grocery Game does all the hard work and research, and presents it to you in a straightforward format.

A four week trial is $1.  After that, it is $10 for 8 weeks for one grocery store and $5 for each additional store.  Saving money on groceries works best if you are not brand loyal and if you are willing to shop at a couple different stores.  You also should consider stockpiling products you use on a regular basis.

I grocery shop about every 2 weeks and usually save about 60% on my grocery bill.  That allows me to pay for the convenience of having Yoder Dairies deliver milk, juice, eggs and tea to my home. (read about that here.

Good luck and if you decide to join, please put my email in as referring you!  tinamerritt@gmail.com.

Tina, I'll definitely check it out. My daughter is a single mom of six - and I suspect she'll be able to use this tool. Heck, we all can these days. ;-)

BTW? Your stuff takes awhile to upload - I'm thinking it's the background. This new tool we have is slower now......hopefully AR will figure a way to speed it up. ;-)

Teri - a single mom of 6????  Wow!  I cannot even imagine!  When I was young, my mom put me in charge of clipping the coupons and putting together the grocery list - maybe your daughter could delegate the task as well.

Thanks for letting me know about my slow-to-load.  I think it's the image chef.  I'll get it changed one of these days!  :)

Tina, you've provided us with such a cool tool to find more savings in our weekly expenses. Food prices have definitely crept up so your timing is perfect.

Gary - thanks for commenting.  It takes a while to get used to using the grocery list - but if you do, you also find that you stick to it, get throught the store faster and don't buy stuff you don't need.

Spokane Washington Real Estate Expert Hey Tina, I just found something similar, weird how things pop up. This would be one I would have to have my wife do.
