One of the things I have discovered since I married Walt is that he has a green thumb.
When we combined 
households he contributed several potted flowers and plants.
One of the flowers he brought was this lovely Amaryllis
I love the bright red blooms and the lovely green foliage.
Walt and I have enjoyed sitting outside on the deck watching the wildlife and birds in the wooded area behind our house.
Plants bring such joy, my brother chides and teases me when I post photos of the flowers blooming around the house or on walks but I see it as just being mindful of what is around me to enjoy and being grateful.Enjoy your Amaryllis and the wildlife.

Debbie, It is good that he has a green thumb, because I could kill a silk flower.
Sybil, the amaryllis is beautiful, and should check them out at the nursery. It does add that pop of color to a room, or a garden.

Oh, I love the Amaryllis, Sybil! Lucky you to have a hubby with such a green thumb! If anything grows in my house, it's me that plants it and he waters it and keeps it alive! We have a shared green thumb going on! LOL
