Now, you the defendant have to answer this complaint within so many days. You need to prepare paperwork and pay fees to do so. Then a trial date is set. Anything can happen after that and it gets complicated, dicey and expensive depending on how the parties go about it.

Some cases are handed to you on a platter like car accidents. If you are not to blame, you stand to collect and get repairs and make some money if you engage an attorney. You see they know that fine print and use it against the insurance companies who dread them. They settle and money is made right or wrong

This guy who was pulled off a plane after paying, boarding and waiting for take-off and then dragged off screaming with injuries is now a world-wide figure having all those cell-phone videos going viral. He now has an attorney and is in the news and heading toward the courts at full speed ahead
A MONEY MOLEHILL GOES MOUNTAIN
What could have been handled for a couple of thousand dollars is now a candidate for millions both for the attorney and the plaintiff. They will sue the airlines, the police force and others involved for beau-coo bucks. Those organizations in turn will want to settle up and not contest....
SETTLEMENT IS IMMINENT
Why? Its cheaper and that is what runs the show. Furthermore, the public outrage over this tells pollsters that ten out of ten people will rule in the plaintiffs favor so going to court is a losing proposition. There are other dynamics involved too detailed to go into but the result is what counts

Today, it is prudent and wise (?) to do your fighting in the courts. Follow this mans example. Stand-up for your rights, do not fight back, take come what may, have faith that everyone is filming everything and wait to be contacted after-wards by an attorney firm
