The Sykesville real Estate market shows Median home sales prices in March 2017 at $376,000 which is a 5% increase compared with March of last year.
There are only 94 active listings on the market for March, 90 of them are new! This represents a 32% and 10% decrease from last year, respectively. With a smaller inventory, active buyers are looking at all their options, but are moving quickly on homes they love. There's something to be said when 95% of the homes on the market during March were new, inventory has been moving quick!
There are 48 new under contracts reported for March 2017. We're seeing a lot of new families looking in this area for it's schools, and more relaxed lifestyle. Sykesville's known as an excellent starting point for new families. The List Price to Sold Price ratio of 97.4% shows homes are priced well, with little to no fluctuation. You have a safe investment here! While Sykesville is considerably smaller compared with Ellicott city, a smaller inventory is normal for this area. Also a note to consider, once people move into this area they tend to stay. The Real Estate development in this area is growing. This allows sellers the opportunity to get asking price for their homes.
