According to California Association of Realtors, Americans are moving at the lowest rate on record. With the charts showing our sweet Millennials are moving significantly less. Not sure if has to do with the cost of living or the comfort of still being with mom and dad.

Very interesting Lauren Selinsky Broker CRS . I'm sure there are many factors involved here. I moved out when I was 18 because I wanted to Rock-n-Roll the roof off of the house back then (no wonder it took a while for my neighbors to warm up to me). I also looked at moving out as a sign of success but maybe living with mom and dad has lost that stigma of being a financial looser. I will also say that now that my kids are 15 and 17 I'm really in no hurry to see them leave as I love having them around.

Your post is right on point the rate of Americas are moving has slowed down . I don't see it increasing anytime soon.

I think it is the fear of commitment as one of my very close "Millenial" friend told me Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI NMLS#1483386 & very well could be a homeowner and is taking the steps to do so. ;)
