Well we're almost halfway through the year and I'm still wondering, Where's the cheese? With the whole credit crisis and houses still sitting on the market for months on end I'd have to say it's time we all  come together and help turn this disaster into something positive. You see what we say has a big influence on the market and inside all the homes of America. We need to quit talking about how bad it is all the time. That's all the news is focused on these days when it comes to Real Estate.  Always talking about the bad spreads fear into the homes of America and into the consumers head. Lets give comfort and reassurance to the people.Without them we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We owe to them.  Let's show America a  positive plan for the future of Real Estate, because it's going to get better and when all is settled and organized it will be even better. So lets make the neccessary changes in the present and smile thinking about the future.  Write the local news, Send a letter to congress, talk to your city, talk to your neighbor. Let's step it up and do what we can do to help get this turned around sooner than later and then we'll find the cheese.

Christopher,

In Washington State, the reators association has started a ad campaign called get the facts.  It talks about the local market and that everyone needs to get the actually facts when buying a house.  It also goes into how good the market truely is and that if you are a qualified buy that the time is great to buy a house.  I would recommend visiting the Washington State Realtors web page.

Here in the Central Valley of California I have actually seen a couple of positive articles in the newspaper about the real estate market in the last month.  Were they under the big bold headline on the front page?   No they were several sections into the paper.  Remember in the newspaper and TV news business, "If it bleeds it leads".

We have to as an idustry get the word out that its a good time to buy.  Unfortunately I think the media looks at the figures and compares them to 2004 and 2005 and says that this is a terrible market.  People forget that 2004 and 2005 were record years , way above normal for sales and prices.

We are starting to see it here, buyers are getting off the fence and starting to buy.  It just takes a while to educate the public.
