What better day than today to consider Hasenfeffer as a departure from the traditional Easter dining fare?
As a young boy growing up in a traditional Italian-American family, this dish was never considered. If it didn't have tomato sauce included with some pasta; we didn't eat it.
Today, with the diverse diets demanded by our multi-cultural base of citizens, I do see many stores carrying rabbit as an offering. Sure farm-raised, but it's still wabbit!
