This will help you better compare your final list of contenders and choose the property that you’ll call “home.” To ensure you have a resource for what to look for, my team has put together a short checklist of items just for you.
What to look for when Looking at a Potential Home:
- How does the exterior of the home look?
- Is the roof missing any shingles or showing any other signs of wear?
- What potential does the landscaping hold?
- Are there any cracks or chips in the driveway?
- Inside, how does the flooring look? Note any general wear or tear.
- How much space is there in each room and within the closets?
- Do all the windows open correctly?
- Are there any signs of previous leaks or mold?
- Do all the light switches work properly?
- How about the plugs throughout the SWFL home?
- Do all the sinks and tubs turn on without issue?
- Does the toilet flush as it’s supposed to?
- How cold does the AC feel when you turn it on?
- Does the garage door opener work?
- How are the appliances in the home?
- What might you upgrade in the first year? What about the first five years?
