Hawaiian Sea Spirits distillery in Kula Maui is a beautiful spot for a picnic or just to admire the bicoastal views. You can visit the property and take a tour of the grounds and facility, and do a little shopping in the gift shop.

It's an organic farm and craft distillery on the slopes of Haleakala, at 4051 Omaopio Road. Call them at 808 877-0009 or visit their website.
They produce Ocean Organic Vodka, and Deep Island Hawaiian Rum, from sugar cane grown locally. It's interesting to see the various types of sugar cane growing on display. Who knew there were so many types - even some with variegated leaves!
Their other claim to fame is that they use the very deep ocean water which has some super powers and health benefits. Wait a minute... healthy vodka and rum? Hey I'll drink to that!

After touring the plant, visitors are encouraged to do some tasting at the little pavillion on the lawn. Once you're sufficiently buzzed, head over to the gift shop and pick up some souvenirs to take home, or consume while on island. You can find their rum and vodka in local shops too.
Be sure to visit Hawaiian Sea Spirits in Kula Maui, and stay awhile to enjoy this beautiful location with killer views.
