Daycare Dining Room, Eat-In Living Room...Home Staging Defines Room Function

Today's buyers want move-in ready.  They have no time to try and figure out furniture placement.  Each room must be clearly defined and the furniture must be arranged to show space and function.  If buyers have to try and figure out where their furniture is going to go or if it will even fit, they move on to the next house.

This beautiful home in Rye, NH was a pleasure to work on.  It is a great example of the dramatic results that are possible using only the home owner's furnishings and accessories.  Other than some fresh paint and a couple of new light fixtures, nothing new was brought in for this make over.  We simply de-cluttered, depersonalized, and rearranged the furniture to clearly define each room.

Room function was clearly not defined in this house and there were too many different bright wall colors.

Well, look at you to the rescue!  Nice new paint color & light fixture for the dining area - and the rest are now good to show!

Very nice. I love the difference in the laundry room. Makes it look clean and fresh just like you want your laundry!

You've illustrated the message so well - now I'm off to separate the exercise/pet care/dining room!  Happy Staging - Julie

Susan  Thanks!  I love the laundry room too!  What a difference going from yellow to white makes.  You can't really tell from the photo, but we set up the storage area with craft and wrapping supplies.  I wish I had a room like this in my house.

Good color choices.  I love that laundry room - it looks so spacious.

Michelle  Thank you.  Although, I didn't really make all the color choices.  The house had a different "bright" color in every room.  The sellers didn't want to paint every room.  The dining room was a no brainer as far as changing color.  We used a green from the main foyer and hall rather than introduce a new color.

The laundry room is one of my favorites too.  It is the room you enter from the garage.  It is a great space.

Gone are the days when a family can truly enjoy their space with all the kids toys and family photos and little collectibles around. In order to sell today these all must go..great job
