Strawberry Pie

1-quart strawberries

1 cup sugar

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 cup whipping cream or cool whip

1 pie shell (baked)

Fill pie shell with 1 pint strawberries. Mash the other pint of berries, combine the sugar with cornstarch and stir into the mashed berries.

Bring mixture to boil over low heat and cook about 3 minutes. The berries should have the consistency of jelly when cool.

Pour over uncooked berries in pie shell while hot. Let cool before covering with whipped cream or cool whip.
