Delray Beach- May Flowers

 

This has been a very busy week and I am scratching my head wondering where April went. It was a reminder that with the coming of May, for many up north it means May flowers...brought on by April showers.

I tied this orchid to a tree two years ago and it finally bloomed!

This one is for Barbara Todaro ...we saw this gentleman working out on the beach.  If you have to work out, this is certainly better than the inside of a gym.

I'm still in shock that May 1st begins on Monday! Flowers always brings a smile to my face. Granddaughter hailey is in Holland and loves the tulips!

Sharon Lee i've found that the less I do to and for my orchids the better they grow and flower. 

Joe Pryor Many of my friends have placed their orchids on trees.  They like being there too.

I don't know Barbara Todaro somehow that beach has your name written all over it. 

Dorie Dillard what a perfect time to be there!!!  Hailey is having a memorable experience.  Saw Sarah yesterday and they love Austin.

Hi Kathy - Mary loves orchids and grows a bunch of them, but only indoors in our climate. It would be so cool to have them growing on trees like they do in the jungle.

Fabulous pics Kathy! I love the saying also.  I think the one about the volcano is a good analogy.  Very creative to hang an orchid from a tree. It adds a different dimension to the flower when blooming.

Dick Greenberg when we lived in Leesburg, VA, it took me about 2 hours each week to hand water all of my indoor orchids!  I couldn't wait for late May to come!
