Mom Is Always With Us

Mom HeartYour  Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper
of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach
in your  freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand
on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives
inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place you came from, your first home; and
she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love
and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can
separate you.

Not time, not space... not even death!

Some are blessed to have their Moms today. Others are Moms. And for some their Moms have passed.

Let us always remember those dedicated women who carried us for nine months and gave us our start in life. They all are very special in their own way.

                                                  Happy Mothers Day.

Thanks Gary - that was beautiful.  I've been thinking about my mom all weekend and I miss her terribly.  But I've also been thinking about my children and how thankful I am that my mother gave birth to me so that I might enjoy my 3 beautiful children (well they are not children anymore, in their 30's and 40's, but they will always be children in my heart).

Mary: They say when it is time for our mother to pass in the natural order of life we lose our greatest admirer and supporter. The cycle of life continues with you being a mother but your Mom is still inside you, so that should give you comfort. The hardest part about death as I discussed with my father who passed away almost two years ago now is just not being able to talk to them. But inside you, remember, they are there. Express that spirit with your children. Happy Mothers Day Mary.

Gary:

Thanks for writing this ... I cannot write one this time around having just lost my mom in February, but you said it for me.  I appreciate that ... actually I could not have said it better anyway!  Very special post! :)

Jan: I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother so recently. Sometimes these holidays have the opposite effect and for this year at least you want to move past it. I wish you well my dear friend and know you have plenty of loving supporters around you. You'll be in my prayers.

Becky: Moms on so many levels gave us our start. I know in many families like you said about yours it doesn't always work out like the Hallmark card, but love them as they are and do your best. Happy Mothers Day to you too Becky.

Carol: You are a devoted daughter for making such a drive. But I already knew the specialness that resided inside. I'm sure your Mom will definitely appreciate your visit.

Jim: Happy Mothers day to all in your world as well.

Hi Gary,
Beautiful poem.  I had brunch with my Mom today.  I am very fortunate and blessed to be able to do that, I know many cannot.

Gary, thank you for this tribute to all the moms of the world.  Women truly do make the world go around with grace, love, kindness and nurturing.  Thank you for honoring that.  You are a true gentleman.
