Thanks Gary - that was beautiful.  I've been thinking about my mom all weekend and I miss her terribly.  But I've also been thinking about my children and how thankful I am that my mother gave birth to me so that I might enjoy my 3 beautiful children (well they are not children anymore, in their 30's and 40's, but they will always be children in my heart).

Mary: They say when it is time for our mother to pass in the natural order of life we lose our greatest admirer and supporter. The cycle of life continues with you being a mother but your Mom is still inside you, so that should give you comfort. The hardest part about death as I discussed with my father who passed away almost two years ago now is just not being able to talk to them. But inside you, remember, they are there. Express that spirit with your children. Happy Mothers Day Mary.

Jan: I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother so recently. Sometimes these holidays have the opposite effect and for this year at least you want to move past it. I wish you well my dear friend and know you have plenty of loving supporters around you. You'll be in my prayers.

My own mom's recent passing has affected me most profoundly. I never expected it. You capture so much in your words. Thank you for sharing your beautiful word-images this Mother's Day.

This was such a nice post.  This was my second mother's day since I lost my grandmother and you are so right.  She is always with me.
