"Pimp" Your Home Ads! This is AWESOME!

Star Home in North Myrtle Beach
Make custom Glitter Graphics

I am no "Techie".  When it comes to computers I have people who educate me on everything.  Left to my own devices, I am useless when it comes to computers, yet I just created this and was able to post it on here, all in a matter of minutes.  This is my first attempt at this, and I kid you not, it only took a few minutes to spruce up this picture and download it here.  I amazed myself tonight.  You can do the same!

Just go to: Blingee.com , upload a picture and start embellishing it.  You can add flickering stars, diamonds, hearts moving, the works.

If I can do it, so can ANYONE else.  Have fun!

M&M, this is awesome. Bookmarked it to look at later when I have more time. Also just trying to figure out how your pink suited high stepping friend made her way down into the beach with roller skates on?

This is interesting. Thanks for sharing. Got to go over to the website and check it out.

Rob:  Aha!  We got ourselves a real rollerskater here!  Only a real rollerskater (a darn good one at that) would know that my little meez here is accomplishing an impossible feat...

Nestor & Katerina:  Try it!  It's real easy.

Thanks that looks like a lot of fun, I can't wait to try it.

All the best!

"Pimp" being the operative word here....

This would fit perfectly on a child's "MySpace" page.  I can't imagine anything more unprofessional in the real estate world, however.  If i were your seller, you would be fired on the spot.

This is why the real estate industry is not perceived as being "professional" = because of "Barbie Doll" marketing such as this.

I would strongly advise to take the high road and not use something juvenile like this.

Thanks for sharing. I will bookmark this and try later. Good luck.

Mirela-You sound like me with all of this "techie" stuff. This looks great. I have bookmarked this and will come back tonight to check this out further...thanks for sharing!

This is great....I will be using this very very soon

Mariella:  Loosen up the bone, Wilma!

Facts:

Barbie Doll is the best selling doll in history.

What you call "juvenile" seems very well received by the AR members here.  Adjectives such as awesome, great, interesting, fun, have all been used to describe this "opportunity" to add pizzaz to the home ads.

I think you're missing the point here.  Will I make all my 50+ listings look like this?  Probably not!  Will I use the program to add a few glittering stars here and there, or add movement in the flower bed to infuse some life into the picture and make it pop?  You bet!

The "lead" is on a quest to eliminate.  Being able to attract the attention for a few seconds longer might actually end up selling the home.   Chill, have a little more fun on the job and in life!  It's all too short...  All a Seller client wants is to get the property sold.  That's not brain surgery...

Mariella:  (your name just HAD to be so similar to mine...)  Just one more thing:  who says our Real Estate industry is not perceived as being professional?  You?  Look again!  Just read some of the blogs here!  If this is not professionalism, I don't know what is...

Wake up and smell....  the professionalism!  It's all around you right here on AR!

Sincerely!  Mirela Monte, GRI, ABR, BIC, SC, NC

AR PROFESSIONAL  who believes that adding some life to pictures is delightful!

What a great idea....I'm heading that way.  Thanks for the post.

05/12/2008 09:58 PM by Kay Van Kampen, Broker, Springfield Missouri Real Estate (RE/MAX Solutions)

Mark, yes my rendition is too girly (I'm a girl AND I love pink!!!), but you can just use it sparingly (manly?) to just add some "umphf" to pictures.

Kay: Glad you like it!

That has got to be the funniest thing ever. Its amazing what technology can do.  Pimp your homes is just what it looks like. :)

05/13/2008 09:07 AM by Utah Dave and Utah Homes for Sale (Robison & Company Real Estate)

Kahuna:  I know my example is pretty "pimp", but you don't have to go all out like I did.  Just add a sparkle here & there and make the picture stand out.

Kathy:  So glad you like!

05/13/2008 09:30 AM by Mirela Monte, Your Myrtle Beach Connection

Hi Mirela - Thats sure is a "pimped out" look you got going there! I think the home looks great either way :)

05/13/2008 11:08 AM by Bill Gassett Metrowest Massachusetts Real Estate (RE/MAX Executive Realty)

Thank you all so much!  It is fun, isn't it?  My daughter didn't like it.  She is 15 years old.  Go figure....

05/13/2008 07:50 PM by Mirela Monte, Your Myrtle Beach Connection

Very cute. Thanks for sharing. I think I'll add some sparkle to some of my water acess properties on the private beach pictutes. Can never hurt to grab their attention there!

05/14/2008 05:17 PM by Charity Lane (Remax 100)

Charity: Thanks for reading and commenting!  Glad you liked it!

05/14/2008 11:53 PM by Mirela Monte, Your Myrtle Beach Connection

Go girl!

I think the point is that if it holds attention just for an extra few seconds, then that may just lead to another few seconds, then who knows. Be just a little bit different and stand out. Great marketing! Now I will have to admit that I hope they have something a little more manly available!

05/15/2008 08:50 AM by Richard Schardt - Triad NC Real Estate (Keller Williams Realty)

Richard:  Let me know if you find something a little more manly.  The target audience is the operative here, and aren't women the ones we need to impress?  You know what they say:  "When Mama is happy, everybody's happy"...
