The day was  sunny, there was the smell of kettle popcorn in the air and children skipped about with painted faces carrying balloons.

Yes I could really say Apple blossom 2008 was a great hit.

The day was more than just about fun for me.  I manned a table where I provided information on the local real estate market, tips for buyers, sellers and those who might be facing foreclosure.  I received requests for market analysis and other networking opportunities.  Most of all it was a chance for people to see I still worked locally.  Since I made the switch to Keller Williams last fall some people still don't understand that although the Keller William's office is not right in town, I maintain a home office which I have done even prior to the switch.  It has also been customary for me to meet clients at their homes or in the case of  buyers, in a local coffee shop or diner so in that sense the way I conduct business has not changed.

Yes it was a day well spent.

Jennifer, there is something about these festivals that is so nostalgic and just screams community. I always think of these as being a southern thing but you show here that it can happen in the north as well. It looks like you had fun!

Hi Jennifer,

What fun, I love events like this! BTW, I was in PA a few years ago and they had a huge apple festival going on there too. You couldn't find a hotel room for miles around, it was a really big deal there too.

Thesa - It was a lovely day, I had fun just talking to people going by.

Cynthia- I had some really nice conversation about the market, and my handout was well received.  I also have several follow ups for listings later in the year.

Stephen - That's what nice about where I live, small town that is community oriented yet just 90 miles from NYC.  Young and old look forward to these events.

Lynda - These events can be a big deal to these community.  It is also a good time to give out information on emergency services and to let seniors know about services that are available to them.

Geroge - I did just that.
