Are you being "found" by your target customers?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with QEC Internet Services

No company's website will generate favorable results if the website cannot be found by the company's target clients.

Why is Search Engine Positioning so important?

- 70% of the clicks are on web sites from positions 1 thru 10 (page one)
- 25% of the clicks come from positions 11 to 20 (page two)
- 95% of the total clicks come from positions 1 to 20 (page one or page two)

This means, if you are not listed on the 2 pages of the search results it is like your website don't exist and you're simply "out of sight" as to your targeted customers. If they can't or don't find you, there is NO OPPORTUNITY to do business with these potential client.

What are you doing to get listed on one of the first two pages of the search results?

Thanks for the info.  I never knew you had to be on page one or two to get 95% of the clicks

I don't know what I do, I only know that I am!  At least for several of the most important terms in my area.  I haven't done anything smacking of SEO for 7 years or so for my one site, so blessed.  I'm afraid to even do much updating.

That's the advantage of having over 19,600 points on Active Rain. That is SEO.

I'm constantly posting ads and link exchanges to maintain position. Craigslist ads help tremendously also.

I signed up with merchantcircle.com and it has bumped me up in rank.  I am now on page 1 of google if you type in "notary fountain valley".  And all you have to do to keep the position is post a blog every once in a while.  And I have found it also a great way to network.  And the the best part is it is all free.

Jennifer, thanks for keep ing us updated with other tools that work.

Steve, even with all the bad press craigslist received, it is a viable option for marketing and advertising.

James, keep climbing baby!  Those 19,000 points should be approaching about 25,000 30,000 by now.   Hey, I earned over 7,000 points in one day last week.  http://activerain.com/blogsview/555546/7-Points-in-One

Joe, you're not an ordinary Joe by your own standards.  You have to get your fingernails dirty and look under the hood.  The whole Internet has changed in 7 years.

Russ, think about your own behavior how deep do you go.  Run a simple test using your family and friends.  Get them to Google something while you look over their shoulder, and then watch to see how deep they search before making a click.  Don't tell them you are performing an experiment or the results will be meaningless.

I'm on page one for one major search term in my area - but there's lots of room for improvement.  I signed up with Active Rain about 2 months ago - so that's one big thing. :)

My book "Notary Marketing 2019" is on Amazon.com

I'm on page one of Google 4-6 times for the words notary and Bellingham (my town).  There's 500+ notaries in my town.

I didn't pay a dime to anyone for placement.  I don't pay to be on notary directories.  I'm very low tech - I don't even use a visitor counter.

I don't blog except for AR and those blog posts are written for notaries, not my customers.

AR and Craigslist are big helpers.

I don't exchange links with anyone.

Reading tips on various AR internet marketing groups is another big helper.
