Create Free Real Estate Leads with Facebook

Having a Facebook page can definitely help you generate leads for free, but you need to use that page effectively. Don’t just post information on listings and open-house events; actively seek out people who may be in need of real estate services. Doing this is a lot easier than you think.

When browsing through your Facebook feed, keep an eye out for people who are likely to be in need of your help now or in the near future. New parents and people starting new jobs, along with anyone asking real estate questions, are a couple examples of who to look for on Facebook. When you identify people like these, shoot them a brief message expressing how excited you are for them and how eager you are to meet their real estate needs.

Host Seminars to Create Free Buyer Leads

If you’re willing to take the time to prepare for and host a seminar for potential home buyers in your community, you stand to generate a lot of free buyer leads. When hosting a seminar, you do want to educate first-time buyers about the home-buying process, but you also really want to focus on getting them excited about the thought of buying a home. Once you do, you’ll have no trouble collecting some great buyer leads.

Go Door Knocking Following a Sale for Seller Leads

Door knocking is probably most agents’ least favorite lead generation strategy, but it can be one of the best strategies for generating free seller leads when timed correctly. If you’ve just made a sale, now is a great time to go introduce yourself to the neighbors. You won’t generate leads as quickly with this strategy as you will with others, but these leads will be some of the most likely ones to convert.

Build Reciprocal Relationships with Local Businesses

Some of the best free real estate leads for agents are created through referrals. These referrals often come from past clients, but they don’t have to. Once you’ve built strong relationships with other local businesses, you can start helping each other out with referrals. In order for this to work, both sides need to commit, so be sure to give referrals out at least as often as you receive them.

Create Free Real Estate Leads with Community Involvement

When it comes to creating free real estate leads, one of your greatest assets is your local community. Getting to know people in your local market and letting them know that you’re there to meet their real estate needs is one of the best ways to ensure you have a steady supply of hot leads coming in.

By staying active and involved with your community, you can generate free real estate leads in a somewhat passive manner. Simply getting your face out there and making sure people associate it with local real estate will definitely help your business. So, next time you see a community-run charity or event advertised, get involved.

Good morning, Pat -- I like your tips for generating leads without paying for them, especially door knocking in the neighborhood after a sale. I contact neighbors when the listing is ready to hit the market, I invite them to the open house, I get some email addresses and contact them when the sale closes, but ---- I haven't door knocked after the sale. I will now, thanks to you.
