I got a text on Monday from a client who purchased a house a little over a year ago; I was his buyer agent.
He was asking about a waterfront home he had seen on a real estate website that was listed for $1,250,000. He was not sure if it was just land or if it had a house on it. I could not find it in our MLS. He sent me the MLS number that he had, and I immediately realized that it was not a Williamsburg MLS number. I did some research and found out that it was just land and it was listed for $750,000. I told him that it the website obviously had a picture of proposed construction. I also took that opportunity to tell him about that sometimes the information on real estate websites is inaccurate.
So remember: You can't believe everything you see online about real estate.
