Balance Personal & Work Life in the OC | Realtor Life Lauren Selinsky
There is so much change in my life right now and having my family go from 4 to 3 and now two soon.... I have been pouring my life into work. I still balance my family time with my 14 year old son and his crazy sports schedule, but I'm also going to school full-time. I am running my own office as a Broker now, work full-time on marketing, on call with the airline and try and make time for yoga and walks... I have grieving group therapy every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00 too. Nothing comes in between that! Ever! Now, I cannot imagine life without my son still and the STRUGGLE is REAL! My faith and God gives me strength and I put one foot in front of the other and since have been blessed beyond unimaginable. I think Gods telling me in his own words, "be comfortable until you are with your son again... I am with you". We all have a world that others do not know about, but we all must maintain and take care of our fome and families. I stay busy! That is key! Balance. Focus. Determination to find purpose.
Family, work, and volunteering in various areas with the Orange County Board of Associations and taking a tour of our Sanitation and Water District last week too.
I believe that good time management allows you to balance time with personal schedule as well as your business schedule. I just get really frustrated and felt it was time to get an assistant! You can not do it all alone and when you can get a 1-800 # for calls, virtual assistant for transactions, so costs are there only when you have business, works really well. Again, I use to get frustrated, but when you find a solution it helps balance that work load and personal life. I think that as I have managed time well I have seen the differences in my productivity. (See how I need to balance my life!?!) Help!
I really try and balance my personal life and work life! As for business meetings, I always like to meet at a coffee shop or cafe and one latte leads to another, so I also put my exercising into my schedule as well. I take one yoga class a week, minimum. I walk over at Balboa Island every Thursday with a few friends. Some can meet and some cannot, but there is always two of us. It is important to schedule your outlet into your schedule. I have to tell myself it is time to go for a walk. So, just do it. It really balances you and you STAY SANE at all times!!! Once I packed my Frisbees in the truck and had breakfast with the girls and after passing out these Frisbees with their help. (see below) Enjoy the surfers in the video! We live in the most beautiful area of the US. Ok, I am a little bias.... but enjoy the view. ;)
