Do Your Clients Feel The Love?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Big HugMany a Sales manager over time will tell you, especially in service occupations like Realtor, Stager, Lender, etc. that the most effective sales people are ones that learn how to love their customers.

I think in defining what you are, love should not be a noun but

              LOVE IS A VERB.

You remember those. Action words. You are not a REALTOR but one who serves, nurtures, cares, teaches, helps out, goes the extra mile.

If more of us would remember that love is an action more than a static noun, that feeling of the love would come across more to our clients.

DO YOUR CLIENTS FEEL THE LOVE?

Those that do, get to that highest level of satisfaction with you. They are "delighted" with your service. Now we may not get along with all our customers, and that can be ok too. Everyone doesn't mesh well. But for those who give you a fair shake you know you are doing a great job when they feel your love.

Ever wonder how you can teach agents to convey the love?

Susan: I think serving has to come natural. The basics can be taught like checklists for followup, but if someone is not motivated to serve, they really are just in the wrong profession.

Genuine care for your customer is easy if you truly do care and love to help them. Getting paid is great also.

Great post Gary I honestly belive thats true I mean I would not want to work with some one who was very cold and not loving. I think as service providers we have to rmemeber with no clients that means no pay check

Gary, good post as usual.  The way I like to put it is to make sure my buyers are "taken care of."  Man, the Ed Sullivan show sure does look dated!!

Hi Gary, I think those of us who say 'I love my profession', are really saying 'I love my clients'.

To keep my clients feeling the love, I constantly remind myself of when I was a consumer purchasing a home and try to treat them as I wanted to be treated.  Sometimes it means gritting my teeth when the phone rings for the 10th time in a day from the same person, but if it's important to them, then it NEEDS to be important to me.

Mike: We always joke when you're not treating someone right, they are not "feeling the love" coming from your way : )

Laura: The payment comes from all that hard work and "love." Definitely earned though.

Makea: Cold and not loving, I think they should do something else as an occupation.

Kevin: Yeah, competent AND loving. It's tough standards out there I know : )

Charles: Taken care of ~ a great expression. Ed Sullivan seems like a 100 years ago doesn't it?

Virginia: I agree with your assessment!!

Lisa: We all want to be treated well, and all our questions answered, even if we have many.

Gary, This one is a double WOW! You have it down pat. I wish all realtors could learn to love their clients the way you described. How often do you walk through an office and all you hear is complaints about clients?? Now granted some are more difficult than others. You are so right about this being a service industry. We act like we are doing the client a favor. I l"ove" this post.

Becky: Feeling the love with clients is really not as hard as many people think. Like you pointed out with agents "complaining" about clients, it just takes an attitude adjustment. Quit complaining and start serving. Yes, you will get cranky clients, but you know what? If you're nice to them many might turn less cranky and actually smile back at you.

Gary, If only society itself would accept that love is an action and not just a 'warm fuzzy' feeling, there probably would be fewer failed marriages!!! Thanks, Fran

Fran: Making love alive in the world, would make it a better place for sure within homes and outside.

William: If you can get that caring through to your agents they will be so much more productive.

Joan: I knew you had that highest level of service to your clients.

I have always told my family, friends that love is a verb and show me by your actions not your words, I show my clients that love in the care and consideration I give to each of them, I truly like my clients and adore a few.   I always think of  Janet Jacksons "what have you done for me lately"

Carol: It does make working with people a pleasure you are right.

Carole: I know you take care of your clients very well, because you just are a natural at caring.

Crystal: You put that action verb into practice. Very good!
