With WYNN's Encore getting ready for completion, the visionary Steve Wynn has announced plans for the next phase of expansion at the north end of the strip. How clever was Steve Wynn to purchase the former Desert Inn golf course?  With land values so dear, he is in the driver's seat for future development. No plans for luxury condos have been announced but here is a bit about what the next phase of development might entail:

Proposed Wynn Golf Course Development

Wynn wants to build a 1.5-million sg. ft. convention center and two luxury hotels with a total of about 5,200 rooms as well as a a 20-acre lake similar to the lake at Bellagio, Imagine convention suites and exhibits surrounding the lake. As for luxury high rise condos at the WYNN?  There is no news of any such venue as of now. We do get calls asking for placement on a priority list for the WYNN condos, but no such condo plans exists as of now. The Venetian and the Palazzo have the Sands Convention Center at their disposal, and Steve Wynn is not about to be topped by Sheldon Adelson.  All future development at WYNN for now plans to be commercial in nature.

Metropolis Las Vegas Condos

The high rise condos at the Metropolis already have a great view of the Las Vegas Strip and the WYNN GOLF COURSE.  If the 20 acre lake is placed in the view corridor of thes high rise units, they could become some of the most coveted in Vegas.  I have not seen any plans or plat of the expansion - so I have no idea of the new layout of the lake area, but the views from Metropolis already take in most of the course.
