On our connecting flight from Phoenix to Miami, Ron changed his seat so that he could be on the aisle seat accross from mine. The lady sitting next to him is a chocolatier. She makes chocolate that is vegan, GMO free, dairy free, soy free and gluten free.
Lisa, the CEO & Founder of Wei of Chocolate, LLC, told us she was inspired to make chocolate to facilitate her teaching of meditation. Her 11 year meditation journey in Asia included living in the Himalayas in monasteries, as well as doing retreats in caves.
You can teach yourself meditation by following her instructions: Place a piece of chocolate in your mouth and let it melt, while mindfully focusing on its flavor, taste and aroma. Each chocolate flavor is infused with a flower essence that has a specific meaning (you choose). It takes two minutes, and it is infinitely easier than attempting to meditate while focusing on the breath.
I tried it on the plane, and within minutes fell asleep. I woke up refreshed for the next leg of the trip--driving to our destination. What a great way to introduce meditation!
