Mother's Day is 100 years old today!  Anna Jarvis, the woman credited with the creation of this day, wanted to pay tribute to mother's with the gift of a white carnation.  This was to show the purity of a mother's love!

I didn't receive a carnation but the best gift I got today was the gift of time with my children! 

Time has passed SO rapidly and I feel older by the minute!  Raising 4 teenage children (2 fulltime & 2 part-time) somedays I do feel about as old as mother's day. Especially right now since we have one graduating from high school this year.  I have survived prom and tonight is her baccalaureate service and then Friday is her graduation!
