Adding a Mortgage Calculator to Your Site

Real estate web users often wonder what they can afford. They may not care as much about what the house prices is but whether or not they can handle the monthly payment. After shopping for a home agents can give these users a brief idea of where they stand. Obviously, financing is a lender's job but users can set their own expectations somewhat if they see a realistic example of what their hard earned dollar can buy. Here are some solutions for providing a simple mortgage calculator on your site. Some of these are free, some have a price tag attached, some you can simply link to and some require a bit of java script or code addition.

I typically prefer to have a calculator on my own site to keep the user there. However, I need it to stay simple so if a user wants something more advanced they can visit a site (pops up in a new window) with those advanced features.

What other mortgage calculator solutions do you recommend?

After using any of these calculators above what is your feedback?

We happen to be affiliated with a mortgage lender/broker so I am using his site as the calculator and the pre-qual is a link that goes rught to him, we work close togther so he gets the lead and keeps them with me.  I think a close connection is helpful because the buyer can then take the next step easlily

Try www.mortgage-site-tools.com they have 21 calculator types available for use with ASP or PHP driven websites. One unique feature we use at www.moorehomesales.com/calculators/ is that you can have the results emailed to you as a PDF file. We use that feature to collect potential leads from our site. It was simple to integrate into the look of our website and has been a boon to us.

Karl's mortgage calculator is very useful due to its charting capabilities, interest rate summaries and sliding bars. Another good website is www.2mortgageloancalculator.com with mortgage calculators that take into account annual private mortgage insurance, property taxes and more.

to my mind, the only way to evade mortgage fraud is to use http://www.fizber.com/sale-by-owner-home-services/mortgage-calculators.htm/  online mortgage calculator on the website of Fizber.
