It is hard to believe the Carol Stream annual 4-day "Summer in the Center" is fast approaching. The festival begins on Thursday, June 5, 2008 and runs till Sunday evening June 8, 2008. There is lots of entertainment, the Carnival and Amusement Park runs Thursday 6pm - 10pm and Friday 6pm- 11pm, Saturday from noon- 11pm and Sunday from noon- 10pm. A Beer Garden is open every evening and there is discounted Ride Wristbands Available every day. And as always....Great food from many vendors with business in Carol Stream.

Thursday, June 5
6:00pm Mike and Joe - This rock quartet plays cover songs from bands like....Fall Out Boys, Coldplay, The Killers, Green Day, Snow Patrol, Maroon 5, U2, Gavin Degraw, Sublime, Rusted Root, Panic! at the Disco, Dave Mathews Band, Dispatch, O.A.R., Blink 182, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, John Mayer, 311, Dispatch, Weezer and others.
8:30pm Trippin' Billies (Dave Matthews Band Tribute) - Expect classic hits from the extensive song catalogue in the gritty, down to earth style reminiscent of the band itself.
Friday, June 6
6:00pm Lisa Perry Band (Country Rock) - This band performs classic country and western hits from such artists as Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Alison Moorer, Faith Hill, Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and many more.
7:30pm Slamabama (Honky Tonk Country) - This band has earned a spot at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Tennessee as one of 5 artists of over 60,000 from around the USA to compete in the 25th Annual Colgate Country Showdown.
9:00pm John Todd & Shameless (Garth Brooks Tribute) - Signature songs include The Dance, Two Pina Coladas, Friends in Low Places, Kickin & Screamin, Long Neck Bottle & Thunder Rolls.
Saturday, June 7
5:30pm One World (Police Tribute) - This trio will recreate the music and excitement of a live Police show, from "Outlandos d'Amour' to Synchronicity, playing all the hits and many more.
7:30pm Mockstar: A Tribute to 80's Hair Bands (80's Hard Rock) - Tributes to Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Ozzy, Dokken, Metallica, Def Leppard, Warrant, Skid Row, Van Halen, Guns & Roses and many more.
9:30pm Queen Nation (Tribute to Queen) - This band authentically recreates the music of one of the most legendary rock bands of all time. They will, they will ROCK YOU!!!
Sunday, June 8
4:00pm Karen Hart Band (Rock) - This band's synergy and musicianship will make for a crowd pleasing experience for fans of contemporary and classic rock.
6:00pm American English (Beatles Tribute) - AN ANNUAL FAVORITE!!!!! The best Beatle Tribute Band of our time.
8:15pm Infinity (Journey Tribute) - The Ultimate Journey tribute with classic hits from Bon Jovi, Boston, Styx, REO, Van Halen, Foreigner and more.
There will be a Guitar Hero III tournament on Thursday at 8:30pm

Infinity is a great tribute band of Journey. The lead singer Hugo was considered back in 98 as a replacement for Steve Perry. But the band thought that he "looked" too much like Steve Perry and decided not to go with him. Hugo has a new cd coming out this summer to...
I think Journey did the right thing going with Augeri to replace Perry, but still go see Infinity if you get a chance.
