There are twenty five high schools in Montgomery County, giving you a wide range of choices in school districts and life styles. Do you want a home close to transportation and shopping or one with rolling green lawns and the sound of birds and bees on a lazy summer day? All of the schools in Montgomery County are good, so you can't make a really bad decision anywhere in the county, but some schools are better than others. They have a higher graduation rate, better college placements or more AP tests and higher SAT scores than others in the county.
With a 98% graduation rate, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is ranked #155 on The Washington Post’s list of America’s Most Challenging High Schools. The average SAT score is 1080 and the average ACT score is 27. Clearly Bethesda-Chevy Chase is a school to consider when looking for a new home in Montgomery County.

Established in 1926 and located in the heart of Bethesda, MD, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is named for the communities it serves, in addition to Kensington and Silver Spring. Offering honor courses, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and its signature International Baccalaureate (IB) program, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is accredited by both the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and by the Maryland State Department of Education.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School was the first of Montgomery County Schools to open a Cyber Café and a state-of-the-art Language Lab. The school is also comprised of 80 classrooms, a cafeteria that serves breakfast and lunch, a 900-seat auditorium, two gyms and a weight-training room, a music lab and choral room, a media center with a TV studio, and a greenhouse.

What are the homes like in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School District?
Not surprisingly for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area, the average price of a home in the area is around $800k. Unlike the neighborhoods served by the Whitman High School, there is a wide range of housing stock in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase district. Whether you are looking for a condo, a townhome, or a single family, we will be able to find the perfect home within your price range. Condos are available starting aroung $170k at Rock Creek Gardens and ranging to over $4 million at The Lauren. Townhomes and detached homes also vary in price, from $400k on River Road to close to $10 million on Edgemoor Lane. One of my favorite communities is Kenwood Forest which offers townhomes ranging from the mid 500s to the low 800s.
