The Avenue Grill on 690 East 17th Avenue in Denver is one of those places that you must try for special occasions. I have to say they have some of the Best Martini in town and and the lively crowd also can enjoy a fine selection of wines and high end spirits, The Denver Post named the Avenue Grill "Best Bar Scene" in Denver.

They have a San Francisco-style menu combines classic grill items with seasonal choices that is out of this world. Yes it is upscale American cuisine at it best.

The Avenue Fillet Mignon is great and I also recommend the Grilled Salmon Fillet with parsley-caper pesto.

You can not go wrong.

Oh my gosh, when I visit you in Denver, this is where I want to go! The martinis and the salmon sound DIVINE! I do know from visiting Denver before that you have to take it easy on the alcohol - with the elevation (for which I am not accustomed), it doesn't take much to "feel" the alcohol!! LOL
