Wet weather, good time to check out homes.

Wet weather in North Branch, Minnesota.  So it is a great time to look at homes

Who so?

One of the big reasons people will by-pass on a home is because of any kind of water intrusion.

It has rained for a week and the ground is saturated.

Roof issues should show up on ceilings.

The big one is the basement.   Any home that gets some water in the basement will be having that issue now.

Just because the weather is a bit uncomfortable is not a reason to stay home.

Now is a good way to see how great a home is.

But the flowers are very happy.

I totally agree with you, William.  After some wet weather, any water issues should show up when viewing a home.

Home inspectors like inspecting on rainy days as it makes issues surface. Most homes look good in the sunshine but if you like one in the rain it is a keeper.

William, that is true, you find leaks in the gutters, possible flooding in the basements.

Good Point William Feela, I never look at it that way but in some areas it makes sense to look doing the rain.

These are very good reasons to look at homes during rainy weather.

You are right, Bill.  Nice weather rarely shows the ugly side of a house.  Leaks and poor maintenance surely show up when we have had this much rain.

I hadn't thought of rain as a positive thing in that way.  But, you're right!

William

Good way to check a home for a roof leak is a rainy day.

Good luck and success.

Enjoy the weather Bill, we have a dozen outside construction projects planned this spring and the weather has not been cooperating.

Gutter, drainage, roof defects will reveal if deficient.

When buy used cars look in good weather(body, oil leak etc).
