When the desperate, lazy and unprincipled wake up on Sunday morning and realize they got nuthin', they grab their camera, go take a picture, and do a Speechless Sunday post, making sure to add at least 50 words so they can get their precious points. So it has been and so it shall always be.
To honor that tradition, here's a picture of a small hawk that showed up looking for some tiny animals to eat. After posing for his minute of fame, he was encouraged to seek sustenance elsewhere.
If it weren't for AR and the point system, we would not have had the pleasure of seeing this gorgeous hawk. So, there it is...

Hi Dick! Mine are defintely not speechless enough but, I do use those Sunday posts to take a bit of a break from having to 'think' too hard on a Sunday!!
I am glad that you shared this shot though - we do have a hawk family that lives quite high up in the trees in our backyard but, I have never been able to capture a shot anything like this one! They're beautiful birds - I just keep my Charlotte (cat) indoors when they're 'in town' so they don't swoop down and take her away!!

Great picture Dick Greenberg , i was watching a hawk last Friday pick up pigeons on an underpass/ but no pics as i was at a redlight, and we are not allowed to use phones while driving or stopped.
