Ask an ambassador: go for the whole list or make a series?
I don't know how I missed this excellent post by Tammy but it certainly makes a lot of sense. Our readers' time is short and let's face it, no one wants to read a wall of words.
If you're writing about a topic that may involve a list or several subtopics, why not consider a series or at least spreading what you have to say over several posts.

So if I listed 103 things you needed to know about blogging do you know what I believe the likelihood of you reading the entire list would be? How did you guess it would zilch, nada, zero. But if ALL 103 things you need your buyers or sellers to know are important then there is a way to do it and it's (just speaking in terms of my opinion here) a better way to do it is to break up that posts into multiple posts.
While someone might not read a list of the top 100 things you should know before putting your house on the market they might read 25 things you know before putting your house on the market Volumes I, II, III, & IV.
You can have wonderful written relevant content, but when a consumer sees the wall of words and clicks away in 2 seconds you really haven't accomplished your goal. We all write consumer pointed material because we want potential clients to read it and see the value we bring and hire us right? Well to accomplish said goal they will have read it to see this value. With that in mind I make two suggestions... make that content go further by making it a series, you can link to part one at the end of part two and add links to parts one and two at the end of part three and so on. I further suggest that when you are writing a long post that you mix it with some space that can be created with photos, graphics or info-graphs.
What do you think? All 103 on one post or break it up into more? Are you more worried about the length of your post being long enough for the Google gods or about if your entire post gets read if found by a consumer? I was inspired today when I was was reading a really really REALLY long post. And many of the readers commented about "I would have made this more than one post". I think like me, they got blinded by the wall of words and didn't make it through the entire post. None of the comments actually addressed the content of the post at all.
