Minot Has A Cat Problem
That is probably NOT a surprise to many but to my friends on Nextdoor in my neighborhood I keep reading "where are all these cats coming from?" and they are not happy about it.
I'm not surprised because I watch the news and read the newspaper. One report last month said: Minot, a north-central city in North Dakota has launched a project to reduce the feral cat population through reproductive sterilization. The Souris Valley Animal Shelter in Minot received $1,500 in a grant and donations to initiate a program to bring down the city's wild cat population of 1,200,.
That's a lot of cats! So what can you/we do about it? Quit buying cats comes to mind. If your family wants a cat adopt one from the shelter. Aside from that I say support the shelter so they can sterilize more cats.
Love them or hate them we have a problem with them and it's going to take a united effort to get them under control. I will say one thing about them... it's been a while since I've seen a mouse. (Sadly it's also been a while since I've seen my blogging bunny as well).
