Osceola county baseball fans have been rejoicing since they heard the news last September. A Florida Minor League Baseball team signed a four-year affiliation agreement with the Atlanta Braves.
'The Brevard County Manatees were a minor league baseball team of the Florida State League and were the A-Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers before the team moved to Osceola County. The Manatees were previously based in Viera, Florida, and played their home games at Space Coast Stadium'. Osceola county is excited to part of the Fire Frogs.
“We’re excited about this new partnership with the Braves, especially given the team’s long history here in Central Florida. We’re looking forward to enhancing that existing relationship with a reintroduction of Minor League Baseball in our community,” said Team President Joe Harrington back in September. “The Florida State League has a reputation as a development leader for future major leaguers, so it was a natural fit as we look to build the new franchise here at Osceola County Stadium.”
The schedule features 70 home games and an Independence Day fireworks spectacular on July 4. Membership packages include full season (70 games), half season (35 games), partial (15 games) and mini (7 games). Full season packages start at $350 and are available by calling 321-697-3156.
