Prescription Prices Like Everything Else Can Be Out Of Sight!

prescriptionIf you have had to purchase prescriptions lately you know how expensive they can be!  Prescriptions, like everything else, have gone up in price.  Until recently we were able to order our prescriptions via mail order at reduced prices.  But that for us has stopped...I recently learn about WAL*MART is offering a "$4 Prescription Program" with no insurance required.  After doing some research I found out that between my husband and myself we have eight prescriptions....at the mail-order average of $25 each it was costing a hefty amount each month. WAL*MART offers four of these eight prescriptions on their "$4 Prescription Program"!  That's a HUGE savings a month....$16 instead of $100 (for four prescriptions)!  Nicer is the fact that we can order a three month supply for $10, a savings of another $2.00.  Everything from penicillin to predisone, asthma meds to cholesterol meds are on the list....the list is five pages and is broken down by what the medication is being used to treat, making for easy reading.  The majority of the items are generic.  Do some price comparison before ordering your meds, it's amazing the difference in prices between the different drug stores.

This is not just in Nevada but is offered at most WAL*MART Pharmacies. There is a disclaimer at the bottom that several states may have higher prices and it names those states.

For all your Las Vegas NV real estate needs be sure to call or e-mail me.

I think it's great that Wal-Mart is doing such a good thing as selling prescription drugs for less.  Alas, synthroid, a drug I'll be taking for life, is not on their list.  :-(

We were going to go their tomorrow to find out if they had Asthma medicine included in the program, so thanks for answering that for us. The nearest Walmart is 45 minutes away and I didn't want to get there and still have to pay $18 with the gas prices like they are.

Mary, I've heard that Target is now offering the same discounts......Costco is reasonable as well. Good savings though. Prescriptions are out of sight! Only recently my Zyrtec went public....a HUGE savings and can be purchased OTC. ;-)
