Dick Greenberg's challenge this month has forced me to learn new software editing tools. I've been using iPiccy as my editing tool. But, with this contest, I had a photo that had wires I wanted to remove. So, of course, I asked the expert, Sharon Tara. She suggested the Ribbet Clone feature.
The photo below is a house that I just closed on today. As you can see from the photo, I made a few changes.
BEFORE
First, I used the iPiccy's Crop feature. The Wrinkle feature was used to remove wrinkles from the drapes in the large window, as well as on the concrete driveway. Then the Blemish feature on the driveway. It looks a little shiny but better than the cracks.
AFTER
Once I started using the Clone tool, to remove wires in the sky and on the house, I couldn't stop. I removed the houses on both sides, the two black outlets under the window by the door, and fixed the faded brick near the grass. Sharon's tutorial on the Clone tool really helped. It was really easy and now I will be using Ribbet a lot more.
Ribbet is easy, but it does take some patience to learn. The vinyl siding is a little off where I removed the wires. I'm sure the more I use this tool the better I will get. I also paid for Ribbet's Pro version to use the Clone tool.
Thanks to Dick Greenberg's challenge, and Sharon Tara, I can now use the Ribbet's Clone feature! I would never make these changes for my MLS photos, but it is good to know how to change my personal photos if I so desire.
