My Ecobroker Certification

By
Real Estate Agent with Rocky Mountain Realty #EA40039680

Did you ever have a client that you really, really wanted to help and just couldn't? I did, sort of, she was my brokers client. But when I heard her story my heart bled. So I called the Colorado Association of Realtors and spoke to Kay in the education department, she was unaware that a green certification was available. The following weekend at the CAR convention at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs the Ecobrokers set up right next to them. Kay excitedly called me Monday A.M. to tell me about the program.

Now I never did get to help the original client. But I enjoyed the program and it fit beautifully with some of my personal beliefs. It all worked at well.

Tony Marriott recently wrote a blog called Full Circle. In his comments Tony wrote about how Active Rain and the Ecobroker program all worked together for him. And oh by-the-way Tony found all of this out on Google and I'm the one who popped up.

More about the Ecobroker program.

Dena, I have had a few times when there was nothing that I could do for a Borrower.  It is a tough feeling, especially when you really want to help someone out.

Dena,

Thank you for your post, I had just posting a question on my blog about green cronstruction and someone networked me over to you site.  I think you are ahead of a growing trend.

One of our best friends lives just south of Denver and we spent a lot of time in Colorado Springs when my In-Laws were out there, my father-in-law was an executive with Junior Achievement.  We had a great time touring a good part of Southern Colorado - some favoriets were Garden of the Gods and the Sand Dunes National Monument.

Dena. I am so glad to have been invited here. The designation looks like a winer..it is one way to gave back and do business at the same time. Now a trick question: if an ECobroker has an SUV, would that be considered a conflict ? Not that I own one. I know a car is not a property, a home, but it would raise eye brows no?  Anyway I hope I can get it this year. The designation that is.

Dena, thanks for the info on the eco-broker certification.  I just went and checked out the website and it looked promising.  This is something that I am definitely going to try and fit into my schedule.  I like the idea of making a living the right way.

Lloyd, sorry I 'm missed your question. I drive a Toyota 4 runner and I'm not ashamed of it. It's 10 years old, gets good gas milage and isn't filling up a land fill. We all pick our paths in life.
