Heritage Splash Pad Grand Opening
Summer is just around the corner and with it comes the grand opening of Cantons only outdoor splash pad on Friday, May 23. A variety of activities are planned from 7:00â€" 9:30 p.m. at this FREE event in Heritage Park, located near Heritage Hideout. Come and enjoy the strolling entertainment, as a professional D.J. leads all the fun. The Heritage Splash Pad is available daily from 10 a.m. â€" 8 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day and offers tons of fun. Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times. Sunday Family Days at Pheasant Run Golf Club
Every Sunday after 5pm we invite you and your family to enjoy a 9 hole round of golf together. All you need to do is call Pheasant Run to book a Tee time and off you go. Call 734/397-6460 to make your reservation. Fees: $50 for a family of 3 or, $60 for a family of 4.

Take An Historical Hike in Cherry Hill Village
If you haven't already, start enjoying the great outdoors and learn something in the process. Take part in Cantons historical hike! Come and learn the history of the area during this free hike offered on the first Sunday of each month now through October 5. Walking tours will leave from the Cady-Boyer Barn eat noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., weather permitting. Each month a new location will be highlighted by the Canton Historical Society for an in-depth look. Be sure to wear suitable walking shoes. Finish your hike by stopping off at the Canton Farmers Market, located at the same site. No registration is necessary. For more information, call 734/394-5460.

Attention Boomers: Join the Singles Mingle Today

Canton Leisure Services is organizing the first ever "singles mingle" club for Baby Boomers. The goal is to organize informal events, trips, and activities for members of the baby boomer generation, who are single and looking to meet and socialize with others with similar interests.

Seniors Take Note:

National Senior Health and Fitness Day
Celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day at the Summit on the Park all day-long on Wednesday, May 28. This free event will feature a variety of great programs specializing in senior health including: nutrition seminars, free health screenings for individuals 60 and older, a 5k walk in beautiful Heritage Park, fitness center orientations, fitness classes and much more. Seniors can also use the Summit all day for free. Don't miss a special appearance by Detroit Lions Lem Barney. For more information, call the Senior Center at 734/394-5485.
